While the LF AI & Data Foundation seeks to fund the infrastructure and ecosystem development needs for a project, many projects will also look to have funds available for additional needs that are not directly supported. These may include:

  • Stipends for developers or mentorships
  • Travel funding for key community members to events or meetings
  • Community driven events
  • Third-party security audit

LF AI & Data Foundation provides the LFX Crowdfunding tool for this purpose. This tool provides a transparent ledger and sponsorship management tool that is easy to setup for projects.
